Healthcare Reform Statement
RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association has been monitoring the health reform discussions since they began and has met with Members of Congress to convey the needs of infertility patients in the U.S.
While RESOLVE did not endorse any specific healthcare reform legislation, as a member of the National Health Council RESOLVE does support the Council’s Campaign to Put Patients First, which has identified five healthcare principles that must be part of meaningful healthcare reform.

April 24th thru May 1st is National Infertility Awareness Week. The week is a movement to raise awareness about infertility which affects approximately 7.3 million Americans.
It is sponsored by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association which provides information and support during the family building journey.

Mediterranean Diet May Increase Success of Infertility Treatments
The Mediterranean Diet seems to be the wonder-kind in the weight loss world, ranked as one of the top ten most popular diets, it has been studied extensively over the past several years and found to produce numerous health benefits. Among those are a lowered incidence of asthma and allergies in children, lowered risk of metabolic syndrome, possibly eliminating diabetes medication for type II diabetics, and lessening the risk of cancer and depression.
You can now add to that list, the Mediterranean Diet may just increase the likelihood of a woman undergoing fertility treatments to become pregnant.
